MacBook + Beer = …..
Well 7 hours after the traumatic event of last night, where I accidentally knocked a half full (I’m an optimist now) bottle of Peroni onto my MacBook, I type this entry on my MacBook!
Yes somehow this brilliant little laptop survived it. The spill happened over the left hand side of the keyboard (while the lid/screen was up). I dreaded the worse, I was quite quick on removing the battery and left the laptop upside down for the rest of the night, before blasting it with a fan heater this morning and leaving in the sun on the window sill to now (7 hours total drying time). And it seems to work so far absoloutly fine with zero fault.
I hope I don’t have to eat my words.
Needless to say I think I will soon be buying an external hard drive and taking advantage of the new Time Machine backup app in the latest version of OSX.
Wouldn’t personally recommend feeding your Mac Book Peroni even if it did seem like a good idea at the time!
Although I would recommend putting it in a bowl of warm soapy water to wash out any stickiness left by the Beer
